Frequently Asked Questions

- Is counseling the right thing for me?
When you don't feel like things are "normal" for you, you may either want to understand why, and also what to do about them. Counseling doesn't have to be scary or overwhelming. It is a circumstance for discovery and learning and growing and connecting with yourself.

- Is counseling right for us as a couple?
In order to learn the most from relationships, you must focus on your own issues as well. Counseling for couples is not blaming your significant other for the relationship's issues. It is about understanding each other so you can be better together.

- What is the difference between coaching and counseling?
Coaching is a chance to learn more about what you want for yourself and your life. It is an opportunity to understand how you can better things for your future and achieve new goals. Counseling involves more emotions and deeper feelings that help to explain why you want what you want, and how to improve the life that you picture.
I like to offer a blend of coaching aspects and counseling elements to find unique tools to sort out and improve personal and relationship issues. Learn how to view your goals more objectively, improve communication skills for your relationships, and find refreshing perspectives on tired situations.

- What is there to expect from a coaching / counseling experience?
I like to think about counseling as chatting with a friend -- and then more intricately. Since there are aspects of counseling and coaching, emotions are allowed. It is a time for exploration and discovery of the self.

- What do we talk about during a session?
Whatever topic or question you want or need to share with someone. We all have a story to tell. They might be similar, but they are also always different. You can have an opportunity to feel any/all of your feelings. It's your right, as well as your own responsibility. This is an invitation to be your best you!

- What is the job of a counselor?
I am here to listen. I am here to support healthy personal growth. I am here to help. I am here to explore new perspectives with you.
I'm not here to judge. I'm not here to scold. I'm not here to off advice. I am a neutral and objective voice.
